This Privacy Policy explains how Standout Display ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, stores and protects information when you use the Standout Display website at StandoutDisplay.co.uk and the Standout Display application (together, the "Service").

Standout Display is a digital signage service that allows businesses to upload and manage media, create playlists and schedules, manage screens, and display selected content on compatible devices.

This Privacy Policy applies specifically to the StandoutDisplay.co.uk website and the Standout Display application. It does not apply to other websites operated by Standout Marketing, which may have separate privacy practices and policies.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

When a Standout Display account is created, we may store:

• Your full name

• Your email address

• Your business name

• Your service or go-live date

• Information associated with your account, including screens, playlists and schedules

• Media and other content uploaded to your account

An initial password may be created when your account is set up. Password authentication is managed securely through Google Firebase Authentication. Passwords are hashed and are not stored in plain text by Standout Display.

Information Collected by the Standout Display App

The Standout Display app is designed to retrieve and display playlists and media configured through the Standout Display service.

The app uses certain third-party services for analytics, performance monitoring, crash reporting and error diagnosis. As a result, technical information may be collected, including:

• Device model

• Operating system and version

• Standout Display app version

• Device identifiers

• Usage and interaction information

• Crash, diagnostic and error information

• Other technical information necessary to diagnose problems and maintain the Service

The Standout Display app does not collect precise location information, contacts, photographs, microphone recordings or camera data as part of its normal operation.

4. StandoutDisplay.co.uk and Cookies

StandoutDisplay.co.uk does not use Google Analytics, tracking pixels or third-party marketing cookies.

The website uses an essential session cookie to keep users securely logged into their accounts. This cookie is necessary for the operation and security of the Service.

The website may also load technical assets such as fonts and icons from third-party content delivery networks (CDNs). These are used to provide website functionality and presentation and are not used by Standout Display for advertising or behavioural tracking.

Standout Display relies on third-party technology providers to operate the Service.

Google Firebase and Google Cloud

Google Firebase services are used for functions including:

• User authentication

• Crash reporting

Uploaded media is stored using Google Cloud Storage through Firebase Storage and is served securely over HTTPS.

Google Analytics for Firebase is used within the Standout Display app to provide usage statistics.

Firebase Crashlytics is used to identify and diagnose crashes and technical issues.

Google may process technical information in accordance with its own privacy policies and applicable data protection requirements.

Sentry

The Standout Display app uses Sentry for error and telemetry reporting.

Sentry may receive technical information relating to the device, application and errors encountered in order to help us identify, investigate and resolve technical problems.

Google Play Services

Where applicable, the application uses Google Play Services and standard media and imaging libraries required to support application functionality, playback and display.

These third-party providers may process information in accordance with their own privacy policies.

6. Media and Content

Clients can upload images, videos and other media to Standout Display and use this content within playlists and schedules.

Uploaded media is stored using Google Cloud Storage (Firebase Storage), hosted by Google, and is transmitted securely using HTTPS.

Uploaded files are accessible to the authorised account and may be retrieved by the Standout Display website and connected display devices where required to provide the Service.

Clients are responsible for ensuring that they have the necessary rights, permissions and licences for any content they upload and display through Standout Display.

7. Passwords and Account Security

Account authentication is provided through Google Firebase Authentication.

Passwords are securely hashed and are not stored in plain text by Standout Display. The Standout Display website does not receive or store a user's password and instead receives confirmation of successful authentication from Firebase.

Users are responsible for keeping their login details confidential and should not provide them to unauthorised individuals.

8. How Long We Keep Your Information

Client account information, including names, email addresses, business information, service records and uploaded media, is retained while the client account remains active.

When a client account is deleted, the account, uploaded media and associated records, including playlists and schedules, are removed from the system.

Screens may remain within the system until they are separately removed.

Some limited technical, security or backup information may be retained where reasonably necessary or where required by law.

Information processed by third-party providers may also be subject to their respective retention policies.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed through Standout Display.

These measures include:

• Authentication through Google Firebase

• Securely hashed passwords

• HTTPS encryption for information transmitted between users, devices and the Service

• HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS)

• Secure login sessions using HttpOnly cookies

• Session expiry following inactivity

• Authentication requirements for media uploads

• Access controls for stored media

• Request size limits and form protections

• Secure cloud infrastructure

• Automatic TLS certificates

• Cloud-based media protection and backup

Although we take reasonable measures to protect information, no internet-based service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

When an account is deleted, the account, uploaded media and associated records such as playlists and schedules are removed from the system.

Screens associated with the account may require separate removal.

Certain information may be retained where required by law or where another lawful basis for retention applies.

13. Children's Privacy

Standout Display is a business digital signage service and is not intended for use by children.

We do not knowingly use the Service to solicit personal information from children. If we become aware that personal information relating to a child has been collected inappropriately, we will take reasonable steps to remove it.

14. International Data Processing

Some of the third-party service providers used by Standout Display, including Google and Sentry, operate internationally and may process information outside the United Kingdom.
